Travis & Laura got MARRIED this past Saturday and the day could not have gone anymore perfectly!! All week, the forecast called for rain so Mike and I were preparing our cute little stash of clear umbrellas to bring with us up to The Barn at Silver Oaks Estate for their big day. However, it ended up being the most gorgeous and sunny seventy-five degree day! To top it off, I don’t think Mike and I have ever seen a wedding day where every single thing ran ahead of schedule – it was seriously like magic! Hair & makeup finished early, family and wedding party formals finished up early enough that the newlywed couple got to mingle with their guests before couple portrait time, and the reception started right on time. Amazing!

So much thought was put into this day, and you could just feel the love between everyone there all day and night. We love getting to photograph the little moments and meaningful details like Laura’s grandmother’s ring, the heart from her grandfather’s Navy uniform sewn into her dress as her “something blue,” and the happy smiles Travis & Laura shared during their first dance.

I think the best part about photographing Travis & Laura’s wedding, though, was that we walked away feeling so welcomed and cared for. Seriously, if you were a guest at the wedding, are part of the couple’s family, or you were another vendor from the day and you are reading this right now – thank you for being so incredibly kind all day (this includes the bride and groom, too!!!).
